A few companies that are “hot” right now in a practical, career-change sense (because they’re tied to big growth themes like copper/critical minerals and are actively developing major projects):

Freeport-McMoRan (copper-heavy; strong demand tailwinds tied to electrification/data centers; often hiring across ops + corporate). Reuters has covered their current positioning around copper demand.
Rio Tinto (major global operator; large copper pipeline, including the Resolution Copper project in Arizona that they’re targeting for the mid-2030s, which signals long-cycle hiring needs).
Taseko Mines (smaller than the majors, but ramping a new U.S. copper project—Florence—aiming for meaningful production by end of 2026, which can create a lot of “building mode” opportunity).
The big diversified majors (BHP, Rio Tinto, Glencore, Vale, etc.) tend to stay “hot” simply because they’re huge and constantly recruiting globally; if you want a list of the largest by market cap to start your research, this is a quick reference: https://companiesmarketcap.com/mining/largest-mining-companies-by-market-cap/
If you want a broad “who’s biggest/most valuable” snapshot (helpful for spotting which firms have the scale to offer relocation options and internal mobility), Mining.com keeps an ongoing Top 50 list: https://www.mining.com/top-50-biggest-mining-companies/

A few clarifying questions so the recommendations are actually useful:

What kind of role are you targeting (operations/maintenance, engineering, safety, geology, project controls, supply chain, corporate)?
What “scenery” do you want—cold/remote camp life, coastal city, desert, mountains, international?
Are you open to FIFO/rotations, or do you need a standard residential role?
Any commodity preference (gold vs copper vs lithium/critical minerals vs coal)?

If you answer those, I can name 5–8 companies that fit your role + lifestyle target (and the best job boards/career pages to watch for them).
