Congratulations on graduating in electrical engineering. That is a great accomplishment. Since you already know you are interested in research and electrical design, I would start by choosing one or two focus areas and building toward them deliberately. Look for entry-level roles such as Graduate Electrical Engineer, Junior Design Engineer, Research Assistant, Test Engineer, Controls Engineer, or design-related internships and trainee programs. At the same time, start building your network, because mentorship often grows out of professional communities rather than happening by accident.

A few useful places to start are:
thePros job search: https://thepros.co/search/jobs and then look for engineering jobs
Get.It job search: https://www.get.it/superseeker
IEEE Young Professionals: https://yp.ieee.org/
NSPE: https://www.nspe.org/

If research is your stronger interest, you may want to look at university labs, graduate study paths, or R&D-focused companies. If design is stronger, focus more on CAD tools, power systems, controls, PCB work, embedded systems, or whichever design area matches your training. Since you also want a mentor, joining IEEE Young Professionals or a similar engineering community could be a smart next move.

Which part of electrical engineering excites you most right now: power, electronics, embedded systems, telecommunications, controls, or research toward graduate school?
